Custom Gland Plates and Cable Entry Parts
The highest-impression GSC query in the screenshot is electrical enclosure accessories, so this page gives that keyword a direct product landing page. Gland plates and cable entry panels are important because they affect cable routing, sealing, connector layout, screw positions and field installation. Buyers should define hole patterns, gasket area, coating, grounding and service access in the drawing.
Mounting Panels, DIN Rail Brackets and Internal Supports
Industrial electrical enclosures often need internal sheet metal parts as much as the outer cabinet body. Mounting plates, DIN rail brackets, component supports and spacer brackets help organize control components and keep assembly repeatable. These accessories should be checked against the enclosure body to avoid interference after bending and coating.
Process Flow for Electrical Enclosure Accessories
The process can include drawing review, laser cutting or punching, bending, tapping, welding or riveting, deburring, finishing, hardware assembly and final fit check. If accessories are delivered with cabinets, packing should keep painted surfaces and threaded parts protected during shipping.
How Electrical Enclosure Accessories Gets Checked
Inspection focuses on hole position, bend angle, flatness, thread quality, coating appearance, burr control, hardware fit and compatibility with the enclosure body. For critical accessories, buyers should mark fit dimensions and visible surfaces on the drawing.
Interface Control for Accessory Parts
Gland plates, mounting panels, DIN rail brackets and internal supports look simple, and they are the parts most often rejected at goods-in — because they have to match a cabinet that was made somewhere else, frequently to a drawing you do not control. Three values decide whether they fit: the hole pattern, the flatness of the part after forming and welding, and how much thickness the finish adds.
| Hole pattern and pitch | Give centre distances and hole sizes, or the drawing of the mating part. A pattern copied from a sample usually introduces a rounding error. |
|---|---|
| Mounting panel flatness | State the allowable bow across the panel. Welded studs and formed edges pull a panel out of flat, and mounted components then sit proud. |
| Panel thickness and material | Give the sheet grade and thickness, or the load it has to carry. Thin panels flex when components are fitted and the fixings work loose. |
| Standoff and spacer height | Give the height and the thread. Coating adds thickness to both faces and changes the stack height of the assembly. |
| Edge distance to bends | Keep holes clear of the bend line. Holes that sit too close deform during forming and the pattern moves. |
| Coating and masking | State which faces stay bare. Bonding and earthing points must be defined before finishing, not after it. |
Where an accessory replaces an existing part, the sample is the fastest and most reliable input. We measure the hole pattern and the interface directly instead of copying a drawing that may have been rounded, then return a drawing for your approval before production. This is the same approach we use in the engineering review for new parts.
Accessories are also the easiest parts to hold as spares. Quoting them as separate line items with their own revision means a cable layout change later costs one new plate rather than a new cabinet, and they can be packed separately for your own assembly line.

Questions Buyers Ask About Electrical Enclosure Accessories
What electrical enclosure accessories can be fabricated?
Common parts include gland plates, mounting panels, DIN rail supports, internal brackets, hinge plates, lock plates, ventilation plates, grounding studs, spacer brackets and cable management parts.
Can accessories be quoted together with an enclosure body?
Yes. Sending the enclosure drawing and accessory drawings together helps control fit between the cabinet body, door, panel, gland plate and internal brackets.
Can you make custom gland plates with cable cutouts?
Yes. Cable entry gland plates can be laser cut or punched according to drawing, with hole patterns, sealing surfaces, screw holes and finish confirmed before production.
What materials are used for enclosure accessories?
Materials can include carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel and aluminum. The final grade and thickness should follow the buyer’s drawing and application.
Do you supply standard catalog electrical components?
Fulei Metal focuses on custom sheet metal fabrication. Purchased electrical components or standard hardware can be reviewed when specified by the buyer, but the main service is fabricated metal parts.
What files are needed for accessory production?
Please send PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP, IGES or SolidWorks files, plus quantity, finish, tolerance, hardware and assembly requirements.
Can you make accessories to match an existing cabinet?
Yes. A sample part, or the cabinet model, is the most reliable input — we measure the hole pattern and the interface directly instead of copying a drawing that may have been rounded. We return a drawing for your approval before production.
Can accessories be supplied separately from the enclosure?
Yes. Accessories can be quoted and packed as separate line items with their own revision, which makes spares and later changes easier. Tell us whether they should be fitted, bagged with the enclosure, or packed separately.

More on Electrical Enclosure Accessories
Accessories Are Quoted Against the Enclosure, Not Against Their Own Drawing
A gland plate, a mounting panel or a DIN rail bracket has no meaning on its own. It is defined by the enclosure it goes into, and the dimensions that matter are the ones that have to line up with something else: the hole pattern of the mating part, the internal clearances, and the position of the door swing. That is why these parts are normally quoted together with the enclosure rather than separately – the fit is established at assembly, and a bracket that is correct to its own drawing and wrong to the cabinet is scrap.
- Send the mating part drawing where one exists. A hole pattern copied from a physical sample usually carries a rounding error.
- Flatness is routinely under-specified on mounting panels. A panel that bows when it is loaded with components will not seat its components.
- Tapped holes in thin sheet have limited thread engagement. Where a fixing has to carry load, a clinch fastener or a thicker local section is the answer rather than more turns of thread.
Why Accessory Parts Are the Ones That Get Re-Ordered First
An enclosure body lasts; its accessories get changed. A gland plate is re-cut when the cable schedule changes, a mounting panel is re-drilled when the layout changes, and a vent plate is revised when the thermal calculation is revised. That makes the accessory set the part of the assembly most likely to be revised after the first build, and it is worth treating it as a separate, revisable item from the start rather than as part of the enclosure.
The practical consequence is on the drawing: accessory parts should be separately numbered and separately revisable, with their own revision state, so that a change to the gland plate does not force a re-quote of the cabinet. We keep them that way and we quote them against the enclosure drawing so the interface stays controlled. Tell us which accessories you expect to change during the life of the product, and we will detail them so a revision is a new laser program rather than a new fixture. Lead time is quoted after drawing review and process confirmation.
Payment Terms
How a project is paid for is agreed before production starts, and the structure that applies to your order is stated on the quotation and on the order confirmation, so there is no ambiguity later.
- 30% advance payment with the order and the 70% balance before shipment — our standard structure.
- 70% advance payment with the order and the 30% balance before shipment — used for some projects.
- 100% payment in advance before production starts — used for some projects.
If your finance team works to a fixed structure, say so in the first enquiry and we will confirm what applies to your order before you commit. Request a quotation.
Questions buyers ask before sending drawings
The nine questions that come up most often before a project starts, answered the way we answer them by email.
What do you need from me to quote a part?
2D drawings as PDF, DWG or DXF, or 3D files as STEP, IGES or SolidWorks, together with material grade, sheet thickness, surface finish, quantity and destination country. If the drawing is not finished yet, send a photo, a sketch or the existing part instead — we review what can be measured from it and reply with the questions that still need answering.
How long does a quotation take?
Enquiries are answered within one business day. Quotation time depends on the part. Simple components we can price straight from the drawing — laser-cut and bent sheet metal, brackets, panels, covers, machine guards — are quoted within 24 hours. Complex work such as assembled kiosks, welded frames and multi-part structures is quoted after the drawing review and process confirmation, because the scope cannot be judged from the drawing alone; the date is confirmed in our reply.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
Prototypes are made from a single piece, and small batches of 10–50 pieces are routine. Prototype, first batch and repeat volume are quoted in one staged quotation so the numbers stay consistent as the project scales. See low MOQ sheet metal fabrication.
Can you work from a sample or a photo if I have no drawing?
Yes. Send the part itself, clear photographs with a rule or caliper in frame, or a dimensioned sketch. We measure what can be measured, list the features that are still undefined, and confirm them with you before production rather than assuming them.
Will you sign an NDA before I send drawings?
Yes. If your process requires one, say so in the first message and we will confirm what we can sign before any file is transmitted. Customer drawings are treated as confidential and used only for the project they were sent for. See our NDA page.
What payment and trade terms do you work with?
The standard structure is 30% advance payment with the order and the 70% balance before shipment. Some projects run on 70% advance payment with the 30% balance before shipment, and some on 100% payment in advance before production. Quotations are issued under EXW, FOB Ningbo, CIF or DDP, whichever your logistics team already works with.
What quality documents come with the parts?
Inspection documents are agreed with the order. Reports are provided on request, and material certificates and traceability can be supplied for the grades we purchase. Tell us in the enquiry which documents your own quality system requires, and we will confirm what we can provide before you order rather than after.
Who will handle my project?
One contact from drawing review through to shipment. Violet, our sales manager, coordinates drawings, DFM questions, quotation, samples, production updates and shipping documents, so you are not handed to a different person between quotation and delivery.
Can you scale from prototype to repeat production?
Yes. Prototype quantity and expected annual volume are quoted together, so tooling, nesting and packaging are planned once and the sample and production prices stay consistent. See prototype to production quotation and sheet metal DFM engineering review.
