Answers to Common Questions from OEM Buyers
What should I send to get an accurate quotation?
Send 2D drawings (PDF, DWG or DXF) or 3D files (STEP or IGES), together with material grade, sheet thickness, surface finish, order quantity and target delivery date. A photo or a sample of an existing part also helps. If you only have a sketch, send it as well — we review feasibility first and come back with the questions that matter.
Which drawing formats do you accept?
DWG, DXF, STEP, IGES and PDF. STEP is preferred for 3D parts because it keeps bend radii, hole positions and thread features intact. Bills of materials, assembly notes and packaging requirements can be sent as Excel or PDF.
Where is your factory, and which markets do you ship to?
Ningbo Fulei Metal Products Co., Ltd. (founded in 2016) is located at No.18 Zhenxing South Road, Qijiashan Street, Beilun District, Ningbo, Zhejiang, China, close to Ningbo Port. We build to order for export markets including Europe, the Middle East, Japan and Australia, and pack to export standard.
Can prototype and production volumes be quoted together?
Send your prototype or sample quantity together with your estimated repeat or annual volume in the same enquiry. Tooling, nesting and packaging can then be planned once, so the sample quotation and the production quotation stay consistent.

What to Send With Your First Inquiry
The more of the list below arrives with the first email, the fewer rounds of questions are needed before a quotation can be priced properly. None of it is mandatory — if the drawing is rough or still a sketch, send what you have and we will work from there.
2D drawing and 3D model PDF, DWG or DXF for the drawing and STEP, IGES or SolidWorks for the model. Where a feature is not dimensioned, a marked-up PDF works too. Material, thickness and finish Grade, sheet thickness, coating type and colour, and which surfaces are cosmetic. This decides the process route as much as the size of the part does. Quantity Prototype, first batch and expected annual demand. The three numbers together decide whether tooling and setup are worth amortising. Critical dimensions and documents Tolerances that matter, functional and mating faces, and the inspection documents your own quality system needs. Destination and delivery Destination country, target delivery date and preferred trade term (FOB Ningbo, EXW or CIF). Application and environment Indoor or outdoor use, temperature range, vibration, and any corrosion or hygiene requirement.
