Fabrication Process

Our TRUMPF fiber laser cuts table frame components, leg brackets, and mounting plates from flat sheet stock. CNC press brake machines form frame profiles and bracket components. Tube processing equipment cuts and notches table legs. Component assembly uses MIG welding for steel and TIG welding for stainless steel and aluminum, with all visible welds ground smooth. Surface treatments include powder coating in client-specified colors and brushed finishes for stainless steel.

Case Study: Library Reading Tables for an East Asian Supplier

Reading tables form part of the library furniture range that Fulei Metal has produced for an East Asian supplier since 2024. A reading table is a flatness problem before it is anything else. The top has to be flat enough that a book does not rock and a pen does not roll, and it has to stay flat after the frame has been welded underneath it. The sequence is what controls that: the frame is welded and checked for flatness first, and the top is fixed to it afterwards rather than the frame being built onto a finished top. Cable management, where it is specified, is cut into the frame rather than the top, so that a change to the service arrangement does not mean a new top.
