Description
Our heavy-duty platform hand truck is built for demanding warehouse and factory environments. The platform is fabricated from 2.0mm checkered steel plate for anti-slip surface, welded to a 30×30mm square tube frame. The foldable handle is made from Φ32mm steel tube with ergonomic grip. Four 150mm heavy-duty casters (2 swivel with brake, 2 rigid) provide smooth mobility under full load. The entire truck is powder-coated after welding for complete corrosion protection.

Manufacturing Notes
A platform truck fails in two places: the deck weld and the caster plate. Both are addressed before the truck is painted, so nothing depends on the paint for strength.
- Deck plate: 2.0mm checkered Q235 plate. The pattern gives grip without a coating that wears off, and 2.0mm is thick enough that the deck does not oil-can when a 500kg load rolls across it.
- Frame: 30×30mm or 40×40mm square tube, fully welded to the deck, then the deck-to-frame weld is ground flush so the deck sits flat and the load does not catch on a bead.
- Caster plates: Caster mounting plates are 4mm laser-cut plates welded to the frame ends — not bolted through the deck. This is the single most common failure point on cheap trucks.
- Handles and finish: Handle tube is bent on a fitted mandrel so the bend does not flatten, then the whole truck is phosphated and powder-coated at 60–80μm over the welded assembly.

Inspection & Quality Control
Each truck is inspected after welding and again after coating, because a coating defect found after painting is expensive to correct.
- Incoming material: Deck plate thickness checked with a micrometer; checkered pattern depth checked visually against a reference sample.
- Weld inspection: Visual inspection of every weld on the first unit, then sampling. Deck-to-frame welds checked for full fusion and ground flush before coating.
- Diagonal check: Deck diagonals measured before welding is released — a difference over 3mm means the frame is re-squared rather than filled with a bigger weld.
- Load test: A static load of 1.25× the rated capacity is applied for 30 minutes; the deck is then checked for permanent set and the caster plates for movement.
- Caster function: All four casters rolled loaded across a 3m test run to confirm no binding, and brakes re-checked after the load test.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you supply a lighter version for retail use?
Yes. We can drop to 1.5mm deck plate and a 25×25mm frame for loads under 200kg. Tell us the intended load and we will confirm the minimum specification rather than over-building it.
Are the casters included in the price?
Standard casters are included. We can also supply the truck with your own casters or a specified brand — send us the plate pattern and bolt pitch and we will cut the mounting plates to suit.
Can the platform be a different size?
Platform size is fully custom. The limit is the 3m bed on our press brake, which is not a practical constraint for a hand truck deck; sizes beyond that are made in sections and welded.
What is the MOQ?
10 units for a platform truck. Below that the setup for the deck pattern and the caster plates is not economical, and we would rather tell you that up front than pad the price.
